     As emerging GLAM professionals, we understand the importance of user and audience evaluation. GLAM (gallery, library, museum, & archive) institutions, first and foremost, serve the public. The information shared by GLAM institutions should be accessible, easily contextualized, and understandable.

     In our future careers we hope to push institutions, and the technologies they use, to encompass the entirety of the access spectrum. We wish to transform the dichotomic, oppositional, view of back-end/front-end and public/institutional. GLAMs must take a holistic approach to collection management. Institutions must evaluate the needs of both their staff and end-users.
